ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Leslie began the practice of yoga as a college student and young mother. Her formal training in the philosophy and commitment to Kriya Yoga began with Roy Eugene Davis in 1982, at the Center for Spiritual Awareness.

The emphasis of this tradition is the practice of right-living and meditation. It is the tradition of Paramahansa Yogananda, brought to America in 1920, as described in Autobiography of a Yogi. This teaching represents the ancient and ever-new teachings of the Kriya Masters: Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar, Paramahansa Yogananda and Roy Eugene Davis. She was ordained in the Kriya tradition in 1993.
